Better Featured Slider

Better Featured Slider is a lightweight plugin that will also show regular ads on featured bar if there are not enough featured ads, so there won’t be any duplicate ads.

This plugin requires Classipress theme to be installed.

Why should I use this plugin?

Have you ever noticed that featured ads slider in Classipress if it doesn’t have enough featured ads to display, it displays the same ad multiple times?

Here is a solution for this problem. This plugin will fix this by always showing so many ads as you require. If there won’t be enough featured ads, it will also display regular ads.

This plugin will not change the look of your featured slider, it will just change the selection of ads.

On the Settings screen you will have an option to select how many ads you would like to see and if they should be randomly shown or not.

Here is a screenshot of settings screen for you to see what options you can set.

So how does this plugin work?

Let’s say you have a Featured slider on front page that can display 4 ads in width. It’s a scrolling slider, so other ads will follow.
If you have 2 featured ads on your site, without this plugin they will be displayed twice. With this plugin enabled you will see two featured ads and the rest will be random regular ads (if you select Randomize select option). The plugin will display as many regular ads as you have specified in the Max or Min ads option.

If you have more featured ads then you maximum value, then every time different featured ads will be displayed. In this case regular ads won’t be displayed.

Compatibility

It does not work on versions prior to 3.3.
This plugin also works with child themes, as long as they use core function for displaying featured ads.
This plugin has been tested on Classipress 3.3.x, 3.4.x, 3.5.x, 3.6.x and 4.x.
